The purpose of the club is to provide a regular meeting point for retired professional and business men and women who appreciate and value in their retirement, increased social contact and opportunities to meet others in similar circumstances, for discussions and short lectures on interesting topics, say, once per month.
No competition is envisaged to existing local organizations.
The club shall be non-political and non-sectarian.
RULES
TITLE: The club shall be called “Sutton Coldfield Probus Club”
MEMBERSHIP: Membership shall be open to all professional and business men and women resident in The Royal Town of Sutton Coldfield and neighbouring districts, who have fully or partially retired from their normal profession or business. Members leaving the district may retain their membership. Acceptance for membership must be approved by the committee.
VISITORS: Visitors are welcome to attend up to three evening meetings after which, if further involvement is anticipated, they should complete an application for membership.
